 Tara Elizabeth Ursiny10th Grade, Serra Catholic High School"We knew it was time for a change. Our daughter Tara is typically a very outgoing and friendly child who sometimes almost bursts at the seams to share her enthusiasm with others. But something was amiss. Tara was not as lively as usual. When she was asked about her unhappiness, she said that she did not like school and did not want to go anymore. To make a long story short, she was not getting the solid education that she needed, and her feelings about school reflected that. "Then we found St. Anthony. We knew right away in our intake interview that this was the right environment for Tara. Everyone was friendly, caring and genuinely committed to the overall enrichment of children. "The change was absolutely for the best. Tara is now starting her seventh year in the St. Anthony Program. She has made tremendous strides in her studies. She practices her vocabulary words and enjoys reading. She also has progressed in her life skills as well. She has made many new friends and enjoys spending time with them. "The staff and the wonderful teachers have helped her grow both intellectually and spiritually. She is better able to express herself and once again she openly shares her joy with others. Tara is proud of her schoolwork, and embraces her faith. She has received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion, and she even helps teach her little sister to recite her prayers. We are grateful to the dedicated staff of the St. Anthony School Programs, and look forward to many more successful years of learning and growing." |
