The 15th Annual Opportunity Award Dinner was held on October 19, 2012. This year's event was chaired by Dana and F. Duffy Hanna and Shannon and Brian Vukmir who welcomed over 480 guests.
The idea for the Opportunity Award Dinner was born from the necessity to raise funds to support our education program and the desire to recognize individuals and organizations which are creating opportunities in our community for persons with disabilities. Although many organizations host fundraising dinners, our St. Anthony event is truly a celebration. It brings together our students and their families, Board membrs, staff and supporters for an evening of fellowship and celebration of our students' successes. This year, the Opportunity Award was presented to the Most Reverend David A. Zubik, Bishop of Pittsburgh for his outstanding leadership of the St. Anthony program and faithful support of our students. The Opportunity Award publicly recognizes the efforts of individuals and businesses who have given of their time and resources professionally and/or personally to help create opportunities for persons with disabilities locally, statewide or nationwide.
