GOLF OUTING, Sponsored by McKamish, Inc.

When: April 26, 2010
Time: 12:30 pm - shotgun start
Where: Oakmont Country Club
Information:

Our annual golf event was held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the prestigious Oakmont Country Club.  Although the weather didn't cooperate, 120 golfers came to dodge the raindrops and support our students.  St. Anthony 7th  grader, Marcus Kielman played the piano during the cocktail reception and Post-secondary student Corey Anthony spent a few moments at the podium during dinner to reflect on his experiences with St. Anthony's.  Despite the weather, we had a great day of fellowship and golf.  Thanks to everyone who participated or supported this event and helped to make this year's golf outing an overwhelming success.   Special thanks to the major sponsors of this event:

Tournament Sponsor - McKamish, Inc.

Golf Sponsor - West

In addition we would like to thank the following sponsors for their support of  this event:

Glencore Ltd. - Cocktail Reception Sponsor

STARLIGHT DINNER DANCE

When: December 30, 2009
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Where: LeMont Restaurant
Information:

On December 30th,  St. Anthony families, alumni, and friends welcomed the new year at the Starlight Dinner Dance held at the LeMont Restaurant.  The event was underwritten by Anna and Edward Dunlap, LeMont Restaurant, and Joe (DJ Gunner) Richards generously donated his time and talents to provide the music.  Our "nearly" New Year's party provided a wonderful meal and an opportunity for our students to spend time with their families, staff members and friends while enjoying the spectacular view from Mt. Washington.  DJ Gunner kept everyone moving on the dance floor with a wide-variety of great music, and of course, no party would be complete without the Chicken Dance and Limbo.  Thanks to everyone who was able to participate in this event and helped to make it an unforgettable evening.

All proceeds benefitted the students of St. Anthony School Programs.

INCLUSIVE GAMES

When: May 11, 2010
Information:

This is a unique event inspired by the Special Olympics, pairing St. Anthony School Programs students with their same age, general-education peers to compete individually and as a school against each of the other St. Anthony School Programs sites. This full day includes events such as a softball throw, soccer kick and long jump. The Inclusive Games promotes physical fitness, camaraderie, teamwork, good sportsmanship and school spirit.

Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community

When: Saturday, May 22, 2010
Time: 9:00 a.m. 5K Walk
Where: Schenley Park at Flagstaff Hill
Information:

St. Anthony's was one of 59 organizations that participated in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community this year.  The event was held at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park.  Despite the rainy weather, over 100 of our alumni, students, families and friends came out to participate in this event.  Prepared with walking shoes and umbrellas, everyone had a great time walking the route and enjoying the many activities Highmark sponsored as part of the event.

Special thanks to all of our parents/staff  who volunteered to serve as representatives for their school sites.  All of your efforts paid off, as we raised over $6,000 for our program.
